 This French Staunton set is made from dark reddish brown Rosewood & Boxwood.   The finish is just a slightly below that of the Pioneer Cadet.  Nice workmanship and quality at a modest price.  The set has a 3½” King, the set is heavier than a double weighted set, although not quite triple weighted.  This set is quality controlled and packaged in the USA.  The pieces come individually packaged in a blue decorator heavy cardboard box.   The design of this set makes it perfect for analysis on the go, rugged yet compact.  The Becker Chess Board shown in the pictures is not included, but can be purchased separately.
